Is he not fighting both Charlos? What would he say to the other Charlo when promotion time comes?

Agreed. Though if Tszyu becomes WBO champion in his next fight, he’s a ‘champion’ without fighting Charlo
A belt without a title holder is a non-human being and cannot dispute a fighter who has beat everyone. He beat all the champions. A fighter has to win that belt to dispute his status in the eyes of the boxing world. There is no dis*****g who the kingpin is until another fighter comes along and wins the belt.
In boxing, an Undisputed Champion is defined as the champion of all 4 major organisations
what you’re talking about here is something a little different, probably closer to what the lineal championship is.
Just a little thought experiment. After Floyd beat Canelo, he was lineal and champion (without dispute) at both welterweight and light middleweight. He fits your definition of being undisputed at two weights at once, does he not? If not, the lack of dispute isn’t enoughComment

What I'm talking about is that at this time Charlo is undisputed by definition and goes into the fight as the kingpin of 154. He won the 4 titles and no one else holds those titles. Just because one becomes vacant or given to a fighter, the boxing world and fans will still see that either he was or still is undisputed till an actual fighter has that championship and at this point, does not. If he defeats Canelo, at the very least he will be seen as a man who was undisputed in two divisions separately and with 7 titles but the boxing world will know he was undisputed in two divisions at the same time if he wins. No one in boxing except the corrupt organizations give a sht about a trinket being pulled. He would be the Kingpin in two divisions at the same time. Now the question is does the WBO pull his title right before he steps in the ring or right afterward. They are *******s so lets see what they do and the moment they do it. I see the fight as a 50-50 or 60-40 in favor of Canelo. But he will be added to history if he wins, either way.

no, he forfeits his title as soon as he steps in the ring against Canelo. He skipped out on his mandatory. He relinquished his belt. This isn't some fantasy. It is what is happening. Charlo is not going to be secretly still be undisputed. If he wants to regain his undisputed status, he will have to beat the guy he ran from.He is still undisputed until an actual human being can dispute his status. A belt without an owner is a non-entity and Charlo beat all the champions and is the king of 154 till an actual human being can dispute that by winning or being given that title. And I said IF he beats Canelo.Comment

Its a decent match up. Im pretty sure you are black and want Jermell to win. Same goes for Mexicans, they probably want Canelo to win. Everyone has a chance landing a good punch. A LOT dumb UFC fans thought McGregor had a chance to win. Why do you think it sold so much? ****** people who thought McGregor had a chance.Last edited by boxingitis; 08-16-2023, 05:00 PM.Comment

I’m not black. Just don’t like Canelo, for multiple reasons. The Floyd vs mcgregor match sold so much because both guys knew how to sell it. It don’t think anyone realistically thought mcgregor would beat Floyd in a boxing match.

The boxing world knows he is undisputed until a boxer can claim one of the titles. No fighter has claimed any of the belts yet and until that happens, he is the undisputed king. To dispute that takes a fighter who holds one of the belts to claim they are the best and no one does, simple.
