Comments Thread For: Gary Russell Jr. Interested In Facing Naoya Inoue

The future of Gary Russell Jr. is still very much in the air. For the former WBC featherweight champ, his recent run of inactivity far surpasses the norm for him.

Russell has to take a tune up first, then he has to take three years off, then another tune up, so maybe by 2032.

“If the money was right." Just what would Russell Jr. be expecting? He has no title. Hasn't stepped foot inside a ring in a year and 1/2. He's not exactly popular. He lost his biggest fight. This guy needs to go back to the drawing board and work his way back into contention.

If his shoulder doesn't get unstuck again in the meantime. He and Keith Thurman should fight for the Upper Limb Prosthetics belt.

I can see Inoue landing something and hurting Russell bad. The GRJ before Loma may have had a chance but not this inactive arrogant version.

Nice cash out in Japan for Russell. Inoue is going to knock him out.

I could see GRJ taking a 2 fight cashout- Tank ( gets ktfo claims it was weight) and then Inoue ( gets ktfo retires).

I will give Russell credit. He really knows how to keep his name out there with the bs.
