Nobody has been able to explain why the WBC didn't simply order a purse bid for this fight and make all the "A side B side" bull**** irrelevant. They should have did a 60/40 split. I have a feeling that Ruiz had people in his ear pumping up his value. Most likely his dad. While Ruiz was a former champion he was only champ for 6 months whereas Wilder was a champion for 5 years. In the end, that justifies Wilder getting a larger percentage. They both need to fight to stay active. Wilder is older so he doesn’t need to fight as much. Too bad they couldn’t agree on terms because I wanted to see this fight.
