Navarrete got out of the way or parried Valdez’ dangerous left hook all night long. He doesn’t seem to get enough credit but he’s a brilliant defensive fighter. Would not be a dominant world champion otherwise.

Great performance by Navarrete. He proved that he is the total package at Junior lightweight. He is very big and strong for that weight class. In any case, I congratulate him on his huge victory over Oscar Valdez.
