That's not true, brother. If any fighter unifies and vacates to step up to a higher weight class he's not ducking. Nobody that's unified goes up in weight to duck unless they try to hang on to their belts like Haney and Charlo. Those are ducks.

I do agree that Crawford should be able to what he wants to do. He earned that right to be the shot caller.

However, I am surprised this is his response to a potential Jaron Ennis match.

Like, he can't fight Jermell. He is fighting Canelo. He could always rematch Spence at 154, which would supersede Ennis.

But to out right say, Nah i'm not going to fight Ennis at all.

      WOW.

        That's very oxymoronic.

Charlo is moving up and fight Saul Canelo Alvarez and he's ducking? That's... just a dumb statement.

Haney... I don't know what he is doing but if he is fighting Prograis or Teofimo, then I have nothing against it. That's not a duck.

Boots will fight for one of the vacated titles if Bud goes up to 154lbs and beats Charlo. Boots will be OK. He wants a title and he will get a title sometime next year. It just won't be against Bud, simple as that. Bud is the shot caller and probably has 2 or 3 more good fights left in his career. I think Boots can beat Bud but it doesn't mean that he will beat Bud. If Bud trains really hard for the way he trained against Spence then it will be a very competitive fight. Poor Boots. He should beat up Thurman first then fight for a title.

Canelo made a hundred million and has sat on the belts for years while "chasing greatness", ie looking for shot champs at higher weights, or cherry picking Bivol, who he thought he could beat....which blew up in his face. He is ducking Benavidez and that is his right, but he shouldn't squat on the belts. Regardless, Canelo has spent multiple years now ducking and refusing to relenquish the belts.

Crawford has fought a bunch of top 10 welters, he called for the Spence fight years ago and PBC wanted him nowhere near Spence. He gets his Spence shot at 35 years, almost 36, having been ducked for years and missing out on big paydays, and he destroys Spence. His profile jumps tenfold, he now has PPV drawing power BIG time as everyone see he is a monster. He is undisputed at 147 after WAITING YEARS. And he is now supposed to fight Boots, who has only beaten C and B- fighters and has no drawing power? For who? Because Boots is such a nice guy? As others have stated, people in Boots camp knew and said that he wasn't ready for Crawford just a year or so ago.

Boots should have already fought the other top guys at 147. With his talent he should be a draw. But apparently Boots likes looking amazing versus ****ty comp and not risking too much. Villa hit him cleanly throughout their fight. Bud would hurt him and stop him anyway. But just like Bud said, if he wins, he gets nothing but "well Boots was green". No belts, no big payday.

This is PRIZEFIGHTING. A guy fights and makes himself a draw to make big money and to get the big fights. Ennis needs to beat an ex champ like Thurman, Stanionis, etc, and become a draw. As it is je will likely have an easier path to the belts anyway, one Bud vacates. And I feel like the massive amounts of call out from Ennis knowing Bud is moving up regardless, is mainly posturing. I don't think Ennis wants a Bud fight, to be honest. He is being loud because he knows it makes no senze for Bud and now he can say, yeah, Bud ducked me because I am so terrifying.

It's all ridiculous. And as others have said, the old champs all fought the biggest money fights when they were at the peak of their powers. The Bud hating is unreal.
Canelo fought Floyd Mayweather at 23 years old. And then fought Golovkin 3 times and jumped 2 weight classes to fight another world champion in Bivol and you call him a cherry picker lmao you casuals are just embarrassing

What? There are plenty of options for Crawford at 154

Charlo claims he's coming back to 154 after the Canelo fight, though I have my doubts
Tim Tszyu will be promoted to full WBO titlist when Charlo fights Canelo, and Crawford can make himself mandatory due to the WBO's rules
Brian Mendoza has the WBC interim belt, will be promoted to full titlist if Charlo doesn't return, ranked #2 by TBRB after champion Charlo and #1 Tszyu
Brian Castano is a former titlist with only the one loss to Charlo
Keith Thurman is a former titlist still lurking around with his only loss being the Pacquiao fight
Tony Harrison is a former world titlist and still ranked #9

That’s what people said about Bud.

Good to see him willing to give other guys opportunities he didn’t get. Oh wait…

Canelo fought and got smoked by Floyd at 23. Floyd picked him because he was green, overrated and a Mexican. Not like it was some brave move for Canelo to go make millions fighting the scary KO monster that was Floyd. Canelo knew he'd get beat by UD and he knew it would skyrocket his career.

Golovkin called for Canelo for years. Canelo aged him and finally agreed, and he got beat. Twice. The last Canelo fight with GGG they both looked old and way past it.

Canelo could have fought Biev, the guy that would have clobbered him at 175. He cherry picked Bivol because he isn't known as a massive puncher. I'd give him credit for trying but the only reason he chose Bivol is because he thought Bivol was an easy mark. And he got his ass kicked.

Not too mention the "Canelo catchweight" silliness. Dude was walking around at 180 and yet drained guys down to lighter weights. That is a big reason he has aged so fast, the weight games, rehydrating 20 pounds on fight night. That stuff is hard on your body.

No idea how any of that pertains to Bud. Or how me seeing through the hype job that is Canelo makes me a "casual".
