Comments Thread For: Crawford: Fightin' Boots Is Lose-Lose Situation; I Deserve To Do Whatever The F--- I Wanna Do!

Terence Crawford couldn't care less what anyone says, writes, Tweets, etc. The undefeated, undisputed welterweight champion has determined that fighting Jaron "Boots" Ennis doesn't make enough business sense to make the acknowledged risk worthwhile at this stage of Crawford's career. Crawford, who will

Bud is correct. He is obviously going to vacate and move up to 154. As long as he isn't holding onto the belts, he has done by far enough at welter.

Boots will get to fight for the belts and unify by beating the best at the weight, just like Spence and Bud did.

If Boots plays his cards right he can do enough to get a Bud fight before Bud retires.

Crawford is right. His sights should be on picking up the lineal title at 154. If he does so he'll be a 4 division lineal champion; only Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao have accomplished that feat.

Crawford is no different to all other top boxers ,it's all about selling their names to the highest bidder and more often than not against fighters that the purest would prefer not !

Truth in what he Crawford says.

But I'd love to see him end another hypejob but he can do what he wants at this point

                    Perfect ending would be ...

                    Charlo (WBC, WBA, IBF)
Big Charlo (weigh in at 155 and take a 5th division title at MW)
Tzsyu (Back down to 154 to complete the undisputed at 3 weights)
Boots (by this time Boots will have more of a claim at a shot and I along with everyone else who knows the sport knows this is his only and biggest threat left in his career can't retire without seeing it threw Bud)

Ortiz and Thurman are the only other two remotely viable options for paydays.

I am a huge Bud fan and don't think Boots can beat Bud but it's the only name left out there I am not a billion percent sure Bud won't embarrass. Regardless I'll buy all these PPV's.
