No it dosen't. Because Kovalev arguably won the first ward fight and he was never the same after the 2nd ward fight. He was a shell of himself. Ward beat a prime undefeated kovalev. Prior to that, pac got koed cold by marquez. Pac wasn't undefeated and in his prime when floyd beat him. Stop it. Regardless, it's a good win but horn beat a faded manny as well.

He fought Oscar at the right time, looking back he would have beat Margarito at any point if they would have fought so I wouldn't consider that ducking. We would all have loved to see him vs cotto at 140 but cotto actually ducked him after watching ringside Mayweather destroy Gatti. Mosley ducked him while in his prime because he had a tooth ache. Sergio Martinez was already at 160 when he had any shot of actually giving mayweather a good fight. Why even mention Clottey? No one was asking for that fight.

Paul Williams maybe, no one wanted to fight him after he beat Margarito except Martinez.

Pacquiao and mayweather was agreed upon in 2011 initially. Mayweather had already signed his end and even had his trunks picked out for the fight. Pacquiaos team agreed to the drug tests initially but then did a 180 last minute and backed out of the deal.

Mayweather and team noticed the Pacquiao fight gain more demand as they teased it on the horizon with a carrot on a string. It helped both Pac and may with their ppv numbers as fans tuned in to see who did better against common opponents. The ppv projections for that fight were getting bigger and bigger so they let it keep marinating.

So no mayweather didn't duck Pacquiao, they just saw they could make more if they waited. The perfect time would have been after Pac beat cotto.

Oh yeah I forgot. Everyone at the time was saying mayweather wouldn't fight canelo and they were asking for that fight. Not until after the fight we realized that canelo was no where near ready. Everybody was asking for that fight at that time so no he didn't just fight canelo at that time because he knew he was green.

I never said otherwise. My point was about ATG status and waiting to see if a fighter can attain it. We don't know how good Spense is yet, that is a fact.

The fights didn't happen or pan out because those opponents actually ducked Mayweather. They only fights anyone can argue mayweather ducked are Margarito and Paul Williams.

At the time, you had prime williams, margarito, pre- marg cotto, clottey, forrest, and sergio martinez. You also had winky wright. Floyd refused to fight all those guys. Instead feasting on mexican flat footed plodders. Floyd'S best prime win is corrales. A guy who had no jab, was flat footed, and was a plodder. Compare that with bud's best win in prime spence. Floyd would never ever go down in history as a greater fighter than bud.

His resume certainly wasn’t as good as it could have been. Margarito, prime Pac and Martinez were straight out DUCKS. And there is video footage of Floyd ****ting the bed when Margarito challenges him face to face. And he shat himself on video after Pac beat Cotto when asked a question about Pac. also what himself when Martinez challenged him and said he should fight Andre Ward.

he was a great fighter but he didn’t give the fans many of the fights they wanted.
