Floyd ducked the top guys from 147-154 during a 2 year span

At the time, you had prime williams, margarito, pre- marg cotto, clottey, forrest, and sergio martinez. You also had winky wright. Floyd refused to fight all those guys. Instead feasting on mexican flat footed plodders. Floyd'S best prime win is corrales. A guy who had no jab, was flat footed, and was a plodder. Compare that with bud's best win in prime spence. Floyd would never ever go down in history as a greater fighter than bud.

Then he ducked bud himself, brook, spence, thurman, bradley. I mean floyd don't even fight people in his own division?

He did. He took some time off to wait for the division to cool off

Yes, he never fought the top ww's in any era. Then he did a rehydration catch weight fight with canelo. With the exception of his fan boys, real hardcore boxing fans who respect the sweet science no that floyd's career is overrated and will never go down greater than bud.

Floyd's got all the ability in the world but didn't want some tremendous names on his resume for some reason.
I don't know, Floyd's fans so vocal, the powers that be might make floyd higher ATG for a peaceful and quiet life

What's funny is that he called out Winky, then Winky called his bluff and Floyd went silent. He openly admits he marinated the Pacquiao fight for 5 years so we know it was him who was waiting him out. Martinez offered to come all the way down to 150. He also ducked Freitas, Casamayor, Mosley at 135, and later on Thurman, Danny and Porter. Even his best win is tainted. Corrales was weight drained at 130 and recovering from bronchitis. He was never an elite level fighter to begin with.

It's a real shame, Floyd was a great boxer, but he left a lot of question marks for anyone who doesn't blindly follow him.

I wish he did fight more people in their prime towards the second half of his career, but he was very careful on his matchups.

I see your point about Floyd @welter but how do you know how good/bad a Spence win was/is? Let me illustrate the problem with your logic using one of my favorite fighters, Andre Ward: When Ward beat a lot of excellent fighters, cleaning out his division, he still had not fought an ATG fighter. Kovalev had a trajectory that looked like it might have been the victory Andre needed... Well it didn't go that way did it? Kovalev had a great career, but he couldn't beat Canelo or GGG, which in turn affects Ward's legacy. If Kovalev had beat at least one of those two, Ward would have been considered better.

We don't know if beating Spence means that much yet. We don't know if a Floyd victory over a diminished Pac is a better win than Spence. Crawford is very dependent on how good Spence turns out to be. We simply do not know the answer to this yet.

No it dosen't. Because Kovalev arguably won the first ward fight and he was never the same after the 2nd ward fight. He was a shell of himself. Ward beat a prime undefeated kovalev. Prior to that, pac got koed cold by marquez. Pac wasn't undefeated and in his prime when floyd beat him. Stop it. Regardless, it's a good win but horn beat a faded manny as well.
