Eddie (this morning): Helenius is a difficult fight for Joshua.
Maybe this is Hearn actually being honest for a change!...
It will be interesting to hear what the Joshua fanatics make of the matchup after the majority crucified Wilder for fighting him...
Hrgovic could have been made as they are both in the Hearn camp and we all know that would have been a much better PPV than washed up Whyte but they go for a one round Wilder victim instead and call it a 'difficult fight' , ...it's no wonder Joshua seems low on confidence!

Cool, I root for big H, I sincerely hope he can score the huge upset. He simply needs to punch AJ as strongly as he can.

Hearn isn't paying anybody to beat up his boy. He wont let him leave home, always with the training wheels. The comp keeps getting weaker and AJ keeps fading.

Anyone thinking Hrgovic or Wallin should've been the replacement is crazzzy. Both of them could easily pull a Ruiz jr on Joshua and ruin Hearn's Wilder/Fury cash out plan on Joshua. Only thing questionable about Helenius, is that Wilder destroyed him with ease, and if timid Joshua goes the distance with the Nordic Nightmare, he'll get more and more flack. Hearn can still sell the Joshua/Wilder fight as Joshua being the huge underdog.

I hope you are right, but I'm beginning to think that a Wilder-Joshua fight is a hope that will go eternally unrealized.

Last time, on short notice, they chose a fighter with an iron chin. Lesson learned.

Edit: Just noticed War Room's sig on that gif. Probably he made it before Wilder KO'd Helenius with a short inoffensive right hand. Hey War Room, Please update this GIF.

Good they got a late replacement for Joshua, even though it's a terrible fight.

I think having Helenius with no training camp is kinda going too low. I get he had a fight last week but he fought a club-level guy, not trained for an elite fighter. Perhaps that is what they wanted...take this opportunity to have some AJ could KO in 1-3 rounds. I think AJ beats even a trained Helenius but at least Helenius would be in shape and with a strategy in there.

I am surprised by the undercards as well. Washington said they got a call a week before. Like why do you want your fighters to be fighting that haven't have a training camp? why didn't they announce the undercard earlier to give everyone enough time to train? Even the negotiations with Whyte were not smooth and Eddie himself said they did not expect Whyte to agree.

The whole card seems to have been put in without much planning or enthusiasm.

I'm disappointed because if they had any stones it would be Hrgovic. In saying that Helenius is a good choice as he's a big man similar in stature to Wilder & at 39 fits Ajs preferred age range. Eddie calling other's blood suckers, he's the biggest smoke & mirror's leach in the game.
Note, Ruiz had a quick turn around when he rag dolled Aj. Just saying🤔
