No it isnt. When race is an issue I say it is. When it is isnt, I dont.

I’ve been on the board a long time so its not difficult to differentiate.

What do you think is the reason is for the irrational hatred of Haymon?

Well, answering that implies that I agree that there is irrational hatred of Haymon. I don't necessarily agree that there is, and I cannot really generalize or summarize the opinions of an unnamed group of people who you accuse of this irrational hatred, unless I agree with you that's its just plain old racism. I think there are fair reasons to dislike any type of power broker (black, white, blue or Chinese) who exerts as much influence and control over the sport as Al Haymon does. Look at the way he directly affected the course of the WW division over the last several years by squeezing out promotional rivals and hurting the careers of a great fighter like Bud Crawford. We can all point fingers back and forth and declare this or that fighter/promoter/network is to blame for the mess, and that is fine as long as we support that argument with something resembling facts. The problem as I see it is that there are just too many people on this forum who immediately resort to the same tired, reductive explanation that any and all criticism of black people must necessarily have to be rooted in racism. It is exasperating to hear this crap over and over again.

Always wanted Bud to win and felt like he should be the favorite, but man I feel for Errol after the way it went down. Gotta respect them both, because that outcome (or worse) was always a possibility. They gave the fans what we wanted. I pray Errol is healthy and bounces back from this. In the ring or out.

Not at all. I respect your opinion and dont need you to agree with me.

Fair point. If you saw in the post he responded to, I said it could be my bias and, taking race out of it, the reason could be because he was falsely blamed for HBO getting out of boxing.

Respectfully, Bud did that when Bob overpaid him to stay at TR. He couldve left. As I pointed out, TR does the same thing at LW and there hasn’t been equivalent outrage.

I believe the above has been happening since network exclusive deals became the thing. I have made many posts about how this has negatively impacted boxing.

I have been a boxing fan for 40 years. I grew up in the “network bids on fights” era where boxers made more for fighting better opponents.

I think those charges are levied against the posters that have established themselves as that type.

I completely understand your point. I would also hope you understand that as a poster that has been here a little more than a year, you haven’t seen what others have.

I look forward to discussing other topics with you.

Whenever another poster shines a light on your irrational hatred, you guys only response is to pretend we’re cheerleading or fanboys.

The toxicity is the racial hatred for a man that made a successful business when you and those like you continually predicted failure.

Instead of just giving credit and admitting you were wrong, you guys double and triple down with hate.

Stop lying. Crawford’s resume and staying with TR was criticized by all posters.

What didnt exist before Haymon and Floyd was a black promoter being falsely blamed for HBO’s demise that worked their way to the top in spite of hate from people like you.
I think these guys are getting into racial mud slinging matches with people on YouTube, every now and then some of these Haymon haters mentions “ldbc” and as far as I know that’s a YouTube little social media group. I think people like the person you’re talking to is bringing some sort of social media beef to this forum because he said “for years you clowns have been attacking Crawford”..which I find a strange statement

That would be nice for boxing. No gimmicks with trying to sell celebrity bouts or the stuff that HW Fury is up to, just some good match ups fights that lead to fights someting along those lines.
too late for that. The fact that Charles Martin fought Ortiz on a ppv is all you need to know about today's standard of ppv. At best, that **** would have been a Boxing after Dark undercard in the 90s

Not surprising, EJ had 40K in Cowboys stadium. He's a boxing star.

So it shouldn’t be surprising if it hits a million ppv buys.
