You’re absolutely out of your mind with less than a thimbles worth of boxing knowledge. I know you enjoy watching paint dry, hot dogs cook and long 0-0 soccer games. Of all the ridiculous, uniformed and idiotic comments I’ve ever seen in my 60+ years of following boxing - you take the cake and the BAZZIE award (Boxing’s equivalent of the RAZZIE motion picture awards) as the ******est post on the state of boxing (heavyweight division) there ever was. Go out and celebrate your award - - it is richly deserved.Comment

Yes - incredible fighters like **** Tiger, Emile Griffith, Gene Fullmer and Rubin “Hurricane” Carter, among a few.
“Fight of the Week was a live American professional boxing series that aired on ABC-TV from 1960 to 1964. After NBC-TV's cancellation of The Gillette Cavalcade of Sports in the spring of 1960, ABC took over the prime time boxing program, although it was renamed Fight of the Week. Legendary boxing commentator Don Dunphy did the blow-by-blow description of the bouts, which took place on Saturday beginning in October 1960 through September 1963.”
Boxing was big and televised in prime time in the U.S. but lost its appeal after the death of Benny Paret III during his ill fated, live televised, bout with Emile Griffith on March 24th, 1962. After that, there was tremendous political pressure to ban boxing and eventually prime time boxing was off the air for good.
Check out “Ring of Fire: The Emile Griffith Story," which is a fabulous documentary as well as other articles describing the lead up to that fight that changed boxing forever.

How did I lose I didn’t get beat up? Lol. Can’t be right all the time I don’t take fight predictions personally like some people. It’s sports. The fights over now. next week I’ll probably be right. In the end I dont really care it’s not that serious to me as it to you folks who live vicariously through your favourite athletes lmao
Then
Admit you were soo wrong afterwards
Lololololol
Look at the amount of daily Boxingscene Post you make....
Then ask yourself Who really lives vicariously thru their Favorite Athelete LmaoLast edited by greeneye99; 08-02-2023, 06:47 AM.Comment
