Who has Ennis beaten to become Crawford’s gatekeeper? Is Boots some legendary HOFer that I didn’t know of, or did he beat some prime, undefeated killers that I missed?

I’d like to see the fight but Crawford doesn’t need him to prove himself. Quite the opposite.

Crawford doesn't have to prove anything at this point.

Bud doesn`t have to fight Boots to prove something. But this fight will probably happen, because there are not many better fights around for Bud. And Boots is another undefeated black American with a high KO %, so this fight will sell.

Funny how Bud fans are so defensive about this fight happening. “He’s not on his level,” ok well the kid is game and Bud needs a new exciting opponent. Perfect fight to make but Bud fans don’t want it.

              A funny statement.

So based on Ennis beating Villa, Lipinets and Ukrainian cab driver you used to believe Ennis was the best welterweight and now when Crawford beat the other undefeated champ Spence you see Ennis -Crawford as 50 -50 fight.

              That is just funny.

It would be interesting because Crawford has never dealt with a style like Ennis. But right now, I would favor Crawford by decision.
Boots needs a few more fights and for Crawford to be a few years older. That's just what I'm thinking now though. If Boots steps up after seeing what he just saw happen, maybe there's more to him than I'm giving him credit for.

Without Mayweather and Pacquiao there's nobody left at 147 who can really push Crawford.

154 should be the final destination in his career. The Champions in that weight class will push him to his limits.

Bud is a great fighter, he looked excellent but they need to stop with this sickening overhype just because they talked it up like it was a 50/50.
Its a good win, Crawford looked fantastic, that is it. You only have to say ''he proved me wrong he is the real deal'' rather than automatically dismissing future opponents and if you picked Spence why should anyone listen to your opinion on who is a worthy opponent or not? Through the whole build up I don't think I heard one person question Spences ability vs southpaws, as a fan of the sport that concerns me. They was just so caught up in IF Spence can apply pressure. Volume pressure fighters never do well vs counterpunchers.

They act like they don't want to discredit Bud yet these same guys have discredited him for 30 odd fights!

We need Bud vs Boots - I don't care for ''he has no resume'' that was one of your claims about Crawford! How did that work out?
''Boots ain't ready he fought nobody...oh but please give us Bud vs Tim ****in' Tyszu next''. Its annoying and a big season we get such **** fights and supposed 50/50s which turn out to be grotesque mismatches time and time again.

We need to see this fight, Boots is right there if not him then who? Charlo who is tied up with Canelo? That is realistically at least a yr away from becoming reality.
This is two REAL elites at their PEAK!
The speed, the power, the athleticism, the skill its unrivalled in any division in boxing.

We've not seen Crawfords best even, you'll only ever see it when you have a guy like Boots in there who makes him have to raise his game not fight well within his comfort zone.
Someone who can give him different looks and match him in most if not every area.
