Gamboa needs more seasoning before any of these guys. He's exciting though and I'd love to see him fight any of these three.

IMO Gamboa is the featherweight version of Andre Berto. Really good fighters, explosive, flashy, speed, and power. But, questionable chin, leaky defense, and IMO not ready for the elite.

But, I think Top rank could build up a Gamboa-Lopez fight. If he keeps putting them on the same card. Lopez-Cab is set for Jan 23. Gamboa should fight Elio Rojas on the undercard. 1. It will be step up fight for Gamboa, 2. Is unification fight, and 3. It is a very winnable fight for Gambo. And, then in sometime around March. Gamboa could fight a seasoned vet in Cristobal Cruz. Who dosen't have a glossy record. But, has a lot of pro experience and is tough fighters who could give Gamboa good hard rounds. And, give Gamboa some pro experience that he would need against the elite. Plus Cruz holds the IBF so it will be another unification fight.

If Gamboa could be successful in those fights. And, Juanma beats Caballero. Then a fight between Juanma-Gamboa in June 2010. For the 126 version of the WBA, WBC, IBF titles. Could be a mega event. Especially for us hardcore fans.

But, as for right now I favor Juanma over Gamboa and slightly favor Chris John. I don't think Gamboa has enough experience against the top fighters to beat this 2. The only fight I would favor Gamboa would be against Rafa Marquez and Izzy Vazquez. And, that is because I don't know how much Marquez and Vazquez has left.

Gamboa to me is some what of a pretender. No real opponents yet, suspect chin with a big ego ready to be dropped. All he has is the fact he came from Cuba and every one thinking he can get some in the states, ain't gonna happen tho.Juanma could be big if he can get past Caballero.Like Gamboa he too has a grossly big ego with nothing to support it.Demanding millions for a fight at his weight is an example of it.He won his title from a very flawed champ in Ponce De Leon, defended against the likes of Gerry Penalosa who was way above his normal weight and a couple of other scrubs I can't even mention=Overrated!Alot of you will disagree but those are the facts. These two will never meet in them ring, there are too many road blocks.Plus,I think Juanma will find a way to weasel out of fighting Caballero.

I have seen Gamboa fighting at least 4 times, he did not show me anything, just he like to throw wide punches like crazy, he has no technique what so ever, the first time he fight someone with good technique and a descent power punch will send this little guy back to Cuba with Fidel Castro.
