Lol Bakolie didn't quit against Hunter. He was stopped on his feet while getting beat against the ropes.

The only outcome is Bakole getting knocked out. Bad. Not a bad stay busy fight for Wilder.

He did want to quit but to be fair he had a badly injured shoulder and could hardly defend himself. His corner should have just shut up and let him quit.

Bakole would have a good shot at beating an old, fairly inactive Wilder.

But he didn't quit though. Wanting to quit and quitting are two different things. Bakole was battered and stopped. Also any half way decent heavyweight has a chance at beating any version of Wilder because Wilder isn't that good. The thing is the heavyweight division is so bad that most heavyweights aren't even decent.

Still only lost to the best HW on the planet. The division is full of aging fighters & the biggest problem in this era is the 4 belt system. Too many undeserving fighters get high ranking without having to earn it. They win a couple regional belts & boom they are top 10. Example Alex Leapai yesrs ago beats a tomato can named Mark Hicks I believe & wins the vacant WBO asian pacific & oriental titles to get the WBO #10 ranking. Then upsets the WBO #1 Denis Boytsov who also beat nobody to get the #1 slot in a final eliminator. He gets to fight Klitschko after. When Fury beat Tom Schwarz everyone called it a joke but Schwarz was the WBO #2 ranked HW at the time. There is no real incentive to fight the the top contenders if you can backdoor your way into a mandatory spot like Hrgovic or Charles Martin. Joyce is the one guy who was willing to risk his spot against Parker than Jimmy Wang Yang. Parker was the threat & he stopped him then he took Jimmy Wang Yang lightly & got beat. Hrgovic has not done a thing since the Yang fight. He won’t risk his IBF mando. Everyone waiting for a payday…

This would be a very interesting fight. Bakole has improved a lot since losing and Wilder needs a good win to be still relevant.

Yes, but to be honest, outside aging Ortiz, he never fought any other good fighter.

It is easy for him to say "I never lost to Joshua, Ruiz, Bakole, Parker, Usyk, Makhmudov.." since he never fought them.

                  The same goes to Fury.

Makhmudov & Bakole have done nothing to warrant a shot at any of the top fighters. I wasn’t at the negotiations so it’s all heresay from both parties but Ruiz has turned down fights with Wilder & Fury. Again I’m not going to waste breath on the he said, she said BS but Ruiz’s dad has stated this by demanding 50/50 to fight Wilder & they turned down 20 million demanding more to fight Fury. None of this came from Ruiz himself. Only from his father. The only real money fights left for Wilder & Fury are with Joshua & Usyk. Sure fights with former champions Parker & Ruiz could be decent paydays & maybe Joyce if he wins the Yang rematch but I don’t see those fight materializing due to Wilder & Fury’s age. I see Wilder fighting Joshua & that’s it. Fury I see fighting Usyk & Joshua then retiring. The problem is none of the others in the top 5-20 will fight each other while they wait for the top guys to sort out undisputed & their mandatories.

Lol Tyson Fury isn't the best heavyweight on the planet. Usyk has most of the belts so based off that he is the best heavyweight on the planet. Also who did Fury beat? A old Washed up Wlad and Wilder. That isn't a impressive resume.
