Something tells me Fulton's trainer knew his charge was in for a tough night, so he tried to soften the blow as much as possible.so fulton came to japan for the fight giving out about hand wrapping that was legal in japan and some states, made a fuss, gets KO'ed by the smaller guy, loses his belts & on top of that the jap decides to wrap his hands as per the demands of the fulton camp?? if thats it then surely a tennis analogy is correct, thats game set and match thankyou, enjoy your stay please come againComment

I do get where people pull for someone from their small island or a large city with people that they identify with, be it a nation, a neighborhood, or continent, a poor or rich area and pull for a fighter in their likeness in some way that they identify with at least as far as pride is involved - but where it becomes a huge issue is where it goes past all that and a line is crossed and pride turns into dislike or hate for fighters that don't fit their likeness and then once that is vocalized such as in this forum, things just blow up. And if one person starts something, insults start flying from all directions and it goes downhill from there. And yes I have seen people with evil wishes towards fighters just because of their color/origin. It doesn't get lower than wishing a fighter gets badly hurt and permanently damaged.
Ignorant people bro. I’ll never understand the need to root one way or another because of skin, religion, or whatever. These men are all warriors and deserve equal levels of respect. Men that dedicate themselves to the pursuit of excellence while mouth breathers with no life bash them.

It’s beyond ****** at this point man. Fulton seems like a nice guy. Why the hate? Because his trainer was acting ******? That doesn’t warrant fans wanting Fulton to get killed in the ring or suffer permanent damage. We have a lot of members here who need some really deep therapy. Like full cleansing of their dirty minds.

I like following the P4P comparisons. I don’t think they’re a load of bollocks. Instead of trying to compare boxers of different generations, it looks at their record and how they’ve handled themselves in the various weight classes they have participated in. And who they fought and how well they fought. Imperfect? Yes. Still fun. IMHO. I think the P4P debates are a more current phenomenon as opposed to trying to compare all the boxers in history. Even then, I enjoy that. I’ve been watching some old footage of Joe Louis remastered. What a treat. Incredible combinations with both hands being sledgehammers.Comment
