Reminds me of Mayweather/Pacquiao 118-110... really? Robbery!! Of course the U.S. media never questioned it

The three judges should have to sit with a knowledgeable, independent third party , like a mediator or arbitrator and explain their cards when they don't match up with reality. Yes , scoring boxing is subjective , but it's not complicated or terribly hard. It's not like Olympic Gymnastics or Diving. Most people can accurately score a boxing round with five minutes of instruction, if that . There's no good reason why the judges don't have to account for their scores, that only helps to hide the corruption.

How many times have his finances been audited for those little under-the-table envelopes?

The cards don't even have spaces for the judges to explain their reasoning for the scoring of each round or the fight as a whole. Just sterile numbers. There's lots of little changes that could be made easily to reduce corruption if the powers that be wanted it to be less corrupt.
A journalist doesn't need permission to harass those judges, they can put a camera and a microphone on front of their faces and ask the questions, let the world to see how they react. You go to their home and start recording how they hide, and put it on the news, you burn them so the powers to be have to find others corrupt judges, let's see which one of them would sign up seeing the heat that their predecessor's got. But ain't going to happen, do you know why? Because the writers don't want to lose their free passes and other perks. Yes, thousands of articles, but they need to put a face on it. Be safe.

It will never be fixed. Not unless they start paying judges a million a year, or, make bribing a judge punishable by years in jail and a total ban from the sport.

Even then, I'm sure all promoters would find a way to get the results they need. Sport is savage and corrupt.

Someone, maybe even Showtime or ESPN, should set up a website where fans can sign up and score the fights live. Make it weighted round by round on ring generalship, better punches, effective aggression. Most fights outcomes would be pretty clear.

Then we can all know who is just picking the guy they like, or the guy they don't like. Liars would become obvious real quick.

Like for the Loma Haney fight. Loma won, and if you tick off each round on those categories, it isn't deniable. Same with Hughes. It is just obvious, whether you like his style or not, he beat Kambosos up. Anything to give clarity to the ridiculous bs arguments from fanboys would be great.

Pretty sure it’s cause the promoters won’t have passes for their next big event
Piss the promoter off and I know for a fact you ain’t getting into the venue next time around
So , yeah it all comes back to the promoters

Asking judges will not solve anything. A judge will answer and then what? Bad decisions must be reversed by commissions and judges who make outrageous decisions should be banned from judging high profile fights or maybe even and fights.

I get your point and agree - but if its cash in an envelope then it won't show up in an audit. I mean he could use the cash to buy drinks in a bar or pay restaurant tabs for a year - who's gonna know whether he went to bars or restaurants?

Your second paragraph nails it!!!!! The 'powers that be' DON'T WANT IT SORTED. Commissions and promoters want to put money making shows together and Hughes vs anyone makes way less money than Kambosos vs a named fighter.

This is why Romero won his last fight. Barroso, poor sod, couldn't draw a fly if he was covered in chit but Romero, because of his vile gob can and will.
