True, he has no PR fanbase YET since he's not big just yet.

I think that if he does this all the Puerto Rican Cotto fans would never claim him as one of their own though.

I think Omar should do it. It's a great opportunity, but it's up to him.

There is no clone of Miguel Cotto. You'll all see when Cotto smacks Pacquiao around.

... and Cotto redeems himself as one of the greatest fighters in the world while Omar Henry missed a golden opportunity to make it to the big time by declining to spar with the #1 Pound for Pound...

          or

... Puerto Rico lost another boxing superstar when Cotto decided to retire after his devastating defeat but has gained an heir apparent in the fast rising prospect in Omar Henry who gained a lot of experience and publicity after sparring with the #1 Pound for Pound...

He may look similar to Cotto, but how can anyone possibly represent to Pacquiao what he will face on Nov. 14?

Truth be told, Omar Henry will never have a big Puerto Rican fan base, not like Cotto or even Calderon because he isn't a native son. Sparring with Pacquiao or not will have no bearing on his appeal in PR where they have never traditionally supported American-born Puerto Ricans.

How big are Kermit Cintron and Luis Collazo in PR? They aren't, at all. And these guys were champions.

All i know is Pac cant get stuck with the mindset that he has Cottos style down just from sparring with porter n henry.

I don't think he would assume he had Cotto's style down. What he will know is whether or not he can handle the power of a a fighter weighing 160lb+ and how to develop an effective strategy against an opponent who throws similar shots from similar angles as Cotto.

These guys are professionals. I know we have our own ideas on what we think they might be doing wrong, but I don't believe anyone here knows better than the P4P #1 fighter in the world. It's fun to discuss, but simply put, these guys know what they are doing, otherwise they wouldn't be in the position they are in right now.

I find Omar as a Better & faster fighter than Cotto. Henry's style is very Like Cotto with better speed & Size.

Here's a Video where he picks compatriot Cotto against Pac. this was before he was Picked as a sparring Partner. Expect him to Change tune after some few rds with Pac.
