    goddamn!!!!

look at cotto stans reactin to this omar henry bein a possible sparrin partner.

they're like scared ****less askin him not to go to the phil.

    lol one dude said this:

"Ugh dude I'm conflicted. I feel as though you shouldn't puerto rican wise, and it wouldn't help your puerto rican fan base size if they found out. I wouldn't do it if I were you dude, you don't need to spar a featherweight. You're too much like cotto and I'm sure if you go their chances will rise of beating our cotto. Please dude. A filipino wouldn't spar with cotto." - Steven

    look at this nuthugger:
"Omar, trust me. In the future you will get the same chance for exposure with other big names in the sport, Mayweather, Mosley, Berto, etc..

Miguel Cotto is your hero, trust me from one boricua to another. Your time will come to shine with other big names as you move your way up the sport and the rankings. Us Boricua's have to stick together, especially the boricua's that are worth standing up for. Miguel Cotto is worth it, to you and to all of us he's worth it!" -Boricua Warrior

    another one:
"I think the boricua nation should stick together. If I had a hero I looked up to, I myself wouldn't work for the enemy who is trying to defeat him." - TheLionFromCaguas

So Omar is definitely going? He should. He would be an idiot to turn down this opportunity.

I already commented on that thread. What annoyed me was the guy suggesting that Omar go spar with Pacquiao then come running back to Cotto to report his weaknesses. Totally gay.

BTW: Porter is not exactly beating the **** out of Manny, but he is pushing him. That's exactly what he needs, so it's not a bad thing, plus it's only the first week of sparring. No worries. If Manny can handle Porter, he can most likely take care of Cotto who is not as fast nor as heavy.

lol i saw that too... spar with pac then tell on cotto team muahahaha.

i have no idea if everything's finalized...it seems the "omar" in that thread whether real or not is torn between sparring and definite exposure versus cotto fans trying to pull him down and be a loyal dog to Cotto.

agree with you that its a no brainer...what would he achieve by stayin low profile, unknown yet loyal to cotto. if cotto paid him $ to be loyal, i guess i understand....but there is more upside for him on this one.

Definitely. He should push aside the pride for a minute and go for it. These are supposed to be professional athletes, not snitching bitches who turn everything into a war between two different countries. It's really pathetic.

Omar Henry has a chance to get his name out there, possibly even get some exposure on 24/7, etc. That's a huge opportunity and his people should support him. He is a good fighter, too. He can do well, and this is the perfect springboard to launch his career.

The cat that said 'a filipino wouldn't spar with Cotto' is right. And I can see more than a few pr boxing fans holding it against him.

Sparring a world class fighter gives a huge confidence and skill boost to a rising prospect though. Not only that, but Henry will probably make more for the upcoming sparring seesions that he's made in his entire career.

Whichever decision he makes will be a tough one. He's losing something either way.

Henry's style is similar to Cotto's, but he's not Cotto. Pacquiao can prepare through sparring and it will help, but Cotto is a seasoned, P4P fighter and figuring him out will take make then two sparring partners just starting out their career.
