I will be clear I am not happy with Fury wasting our time with this BS fight. It is nothing more than a cash grab. A few weeks back I thought Hearn was trying to make the same crossover fight with Joshua. He sounds bitter that it’s not his promotion getting the Saudi money…

Also, AJ doesn’t hold a title so what would have been the big deal if he’d fought Ngannou? On the other hand Fury is a titleholder but is wasting time and holding his title hostage while turning down legitimate fights to fight Ngannou.
Does anyone really need Warren to admit it’s a money grab. Literally every promoter in boxing has the goal to make money grabs, including hearn. As far as holding titles hostage, you can blame the belt organizations because holding it hostage isn’t just limited to Fury, it’s being done in damn near every weight class.

I guarantee he'd be singing a different tune if it was AJ who was the champion and he was about to make that money...

This is like when the Klitschko brothers went to Don King's house and he pretended to play a player piano - how could you want to do business with someone with these morals? When situations occur and he has to make a decision between you and money, what do you think he will choose?
It is a little bit of the pot calling the kettle black, but at the same time he was explicit about what he thought was terrible for boxing: namely, that Fury had a chance to fight for undisputed and chose the circus fight instead.

He took it to AJ because, as he says, he understands the business side of it. And -- crucially -- AJ held no titles at the time. He did not have the option of fighting to be undisputed champion to vie with this circus fight (and he rejected it anyway).

Fury fighting this MMA guy isn't in itself bad for boxing. Fury being champ, showing no interest in fighting Usyk and holding his belt hostage, and then fifghting this MMA guy is bad for boxing.

Now, obviously, Hearn is in no place to speak for the morality of boxing, given his ****** actions with Connor Benn, but what he is saying here is true nontheless.

Its bad for both sports. Bad for boxing because Fury should be fighting Usyk and it hurts the sports credibility letting 0-0 guys walk in and fighting the champ like this. Bad for MMA because its lost a literal UFC champ, lost Ngannou vs Jones or Pavlovich, and Ngannou is putting himself in a position where hes fighting under a ruleset that will probably make him look bad.

Fury isn't retired and still holds the belt, led fans on and lied many times. Anyone who still is a fan of him must be a gullible puppet who is easy to manipulate.
