Good. If Fury loses, the wbc will have a defeated champion. They will regret not stripping him.

I don't know about you but I considered that an obvious publicity stunt from the jump as soon as I saw that. I personally don't think Usyk had any intention of fighting Fury in the UK.
Usyks team is a circus. His manager in the media everyday say dumb stuff like Tyson should be stripped but the Saudis are the ones finding fury vs Ngannou. He wants his 10% of a mega payday soooo bad. Trying desperately in the media to try to pressure fury into taking less which there is NO CHANCE he’ll do lmao. He makes 5x as much as usyk fighting guys like Ngannou so usyk and his team better smarten up if they really want the fight. He talk real big for a guys who life and death with Maria Bredis rofl

Yeah obvious PR stunt executed perfectly, same with the 70-30 offer but that was executed poorly. I always say, you don’t negotiate multimillion pound contracts through the media. Whenever fighters do that I’m very sceptical.

Personally, I think absolutely NOBODY involved wanted that fight to happen in the UK in April, the finances never made sense and they all knew they could make a hell of a lot more in Saudi.

It became a game of brinksmanship, both wanted a way out but didn’t want to be seen as the guy “ducking” the other. Team Usyk completely outsmarted Team Fury though by calling their bluff offer.

          I agree entirely.

But then I don't understand why Fury is getting all the negative stick when to me it's obvious that neither of them had any interest in making that fight.

I actually think Usyk had even less interest than Fury but for some reason he's looked at from a positive light in all of this.

Doesn't help that Fury is fighting Ngannou mind.

Everything he's been through in his career, I feel Usyk has earned this fight and deserves it.

Fans love playing the blame game don’t they and a lot of them don’t really understand what they’re talking about.

Yeah Fury isn’t helping his case at all with this circus fight whilst Usyk is defending against legitimate contenders.

I actually think Dubois has a chance with Usyk aswell. I'm looking forward to that one.

Usyk wasn't bluffing. He'd been in camp in Poland for months at that point.

Knowing it would be Dubois possibly? I don't know.

I don't understand why they didn't just scrap the rematch clause like Fury said. I think that's a weak reason to walk away myself.

I think he’ll have a moment. I could see it playing out a little bit like Kovalev vs Yarde. Usyk outboxes him early, Dubois lands a big shot, Usyk weathers the storm, Dubois gasses and Usyk takes him out.
