He only had 1 fight as UFC champion. But hey, if people wanna see it, the fighters get paid so more power to 'em.

    Not me though.

Mismatch, but at least Francis is getting a check he never would have gotten in UFC.

Good for Francis. Who wouldn't do it for Millions and Millions and retire right after? Sounds alright to me

The millionaires and billionaires of the world will always put their money behind boxing before UFC. They know how big the returns can be and to be honest, boxing has more sophistication and historical significance than MMA which is more of a glorified bar brawl caveman type sport. If UFC fighters could box good enough, they would be pro boxers. They would make way more money. That's just common sense. They don't because the large majority would never get to the top level.

Based on overall trends over the last 10-15 years theres no reason at all to believe this. MMA pay has increased dramatically over that time frame as has the overall mainstream acceptance and commercial weight put behind the UFC. Look at how it went from Spike to Fox, ESPN and ABC, how it went from EA refusing to make a UFC game to them dropping Fight Night games and making UFC games instead, how the UFC went from being basically a white America only thing to the most international combat sports promotion on the planet in terms of both roster and event locations etc etc.

Well here he is, making more cash than anybody in that business. Even if he gets slept in a round he can branch off from this and make even more millions. Dana white is fuming. all that being said, its a sad day for the actual sport of boxing.
I think you will find that you have it backwards, the majority of hardcore MMA fans are happy and celebrating this as a victory for Francis and more importantly a big **** you to Dana who scums the UFC athletes. The guy is a peice of ****, and most hardcore MMA fans know that.

That's utter bull**** and you literally couldn't of said this a a worse time. A powerful billionaire called Donald Trump was just at the recent UFC event, oh and two wealthyish guys named Mark Zuckerberg and .....errrr Elon Musk have been challenging each other to a "cage match" in the UFC, with Elon currently training with GSP and the Facebook guy just recently training with Adesanya and Volkanovski.

Cong**** to Ngannou for getting this big money fight, exhibition or not.

I'm sure it's the kind of money that secures him and his family financially for life. The Saudis pay huge, so much that America can't match the salaries offered.
