Yeah. I think when MMA was initially on the come up there was pushback and a reluctance to accept it often coming from older suits in networks, media etc etc who grew up with boxing back in its stronger eras and had biases. But anyone thats started watching combat sports in the last 15 years or so has had a totally different experience to that, theres as much chance they grew up with the UFC as with boxing, and those people grow into the older suits in networks, media etc over time. We always talk about how boxing has more history etc etc but its gonna be interesting in another 20 years or so when most people dont have first hand memory of a time where the UFC wasnt every bit as big and visible as boxing.

We will soon find out if the BS fans are right or the organizers are right, in whether this will be a mega-fight that interests the public. Imagine a single fight making you more money than your entire MMA career. Smart move by both fighters. Hope to see Fury with Usyk or Joshua or a mandatory after this one-off.

It just looks terrible for Fury, because he clearly ducked Usyk.
Probably because there are actual ranked fighters that are deserving, money be damned. Exhibition is cool but calling this a legit fight is pretty crazy considering Fury is the active, lineal champ.

In the west a big-eared person is not considered to be attractive or lucky; but in Japan to have huge ears is a symbol of good luck and wealth. Legend has it that those with big ears, specially those with long earlobes will have lots of luck and wealth during their life.

Buddha (Siddhartha) was born with big ears. During his childhood and youth he lived surrounded by wealth within a noble family. Siddhartha wore expensive clothes and gold ***elry. One of the pieces of ***elry that he used the most were some heavy earrings made of gold that deformed his ears over the years making them even bigger. At some point Siddhartha renounced his world of wealth and materialism and left his big golden earrings behind.

According to the legend, his ears ended up like this:

I think you misinterpreted what I said. The only issue I have is the fight being a "real" fight and not an exhibition. I will ALWAYS support athletes maximizing their earnings.

I don't think boxing fan's realise how big this fight is, the ufc regularly get's over 1 mill ppvs unlike boxing as the best fight the best, don't get me wrong Fury murders Ngannou in the squared circle. Ngannou is going to have to go for it & hope Fury's lost a step.

It doesnt necessarily do it "regularly", last 2 years have been kind of quiet, but since Floyd/Pac it has done it significantly more than boxing. And half of the boxing PPVs that have done it in that time were main evented by Youtubers, MMA fighters and exhibition fights with retired boxers.
