MMA is a facade. The best fight the best is one of the biggest lies. Dana ran Ngannou out of the UFC so he could crown Jon Jones. Boxing is killing UFC in earnings and quality of fights.

And why is that? If there's a paying audience, a market for it, why not? This will break 1 million ppv buys.

It just looks terrible for Fury, because he clearly ducked Usyk.

Happy for Ngannou betting on himself, if you look into his story it should be a movie.
I don't think boxing fan's realise how big this fight is, the ufc regularly get's over 1 mill ppvs unlike boxing as the best fight the best, don't get me wrong Fury murders Ngannou in the squared circle. Ngannou is going to have to go for it & hope Fury's lost a step.

Ngannous last fight did 350k. He's a French guy so he's not on McGregor's level who sold more than a million q fight. he also hasn't fought in 2 years come fight time. They might be able to sell this circus sideshow but it's going to take a good marketinf campaign to trick everyone

As an MMA fan this is incorrect. In recent years they have struggled to get much over 700K ppv buys. The last one that did it was Jones' last comeback fight but I'm not sure that even made it. Aside from that almost every other cards was below 700K in the last 2-3 years.

There'd be an even bigger paying audience for Fury to fight Donald Trump or Madonna too, should he do that next?

The sheer irony of calling MMA a facade when boxing is so heavily predicated on a bunch of guys treading water for years, grabbing some belt or other and all claiming to be the best without fighting each other.

Lol @ the Ngannou/Jones example too. Oh no the UFC failed to make Ngannou vs a guy in a different weight class who hadnt fought in 3 years. Totally the same as Fury fighting a ****ing MMA fighter instead of Usyk or AJ. Or AJ and Wilder being on their like 6th year of both being top 10 ranked in the same division but not fighting each other.
