That is the biggest myth I've ever heard. Floyd fought almost everyone good in or around all of the weight classes he has ever fought or campaigned in. He took several risks outside of the ring.
So let's give honor where honor is due. The man was just a once in lifetime great fighter. However, back to Haney's point; He is right. Everyone is protecting their 0. So they can someday be like a Floyd Mayweather, Jr.
Mayweather, was nothing like Canelo Alvarez though; Who is both a coward and bully. All of his opponents are cherrypicked, weaker, limited and overmatched.
Today's fighters doesn't like to take risks outside of the ring for fear of losing their titles or undefeated records. So that is why they don't give us boxing fans the fights that we want to see.Comment

And Floyd didn’t ruin boxing. Fighters are trying to reach the title and avoiding the tough fights on the way up. Floyd fought those tough fights and when he became a ppv star he basically fought who you wanted him to fight. But you accused him of avoiding younger Pac because of testing, Khan lmao and Margarito lmmfao.
Tell those guys today to fight each other. Floyd was a lineal champion in how many divisions. Pac too! Now look at todays champions and how man belt holders are lineal or unified champions!!!??? 4 title belts in each division. Count them up and get back to me.Comment
