I can't claim Canelo to be the top dog in the division if there is a guy who is standing there who he hasn't beaten, yet he's holding the title that this fighter had before being stripped.. Nelo is the superstar, the face of boxing, the heavy favorite to win... Losing to the unheralded Bivol is a total humiliation....

Look at Nelo now, he avoided a rematch with Bivol @ 168 or 175 ... escaping from another humiliation...

Again, that is your opinion, which you are welcome to have, but the FACTS are, according to what's documented is it was a close fight with all 3 OFFICIAL scoring cards have him losing by a round. I personally had Canelo losing 8-4 but a loss is a loss. He simply couldn't break down Bivol's defense.

Being the face of boxing means NOTHING in the ring. It's one fighter vs the other fighter.

Don't come at me talking about he "avoided" a rematch with Bivol when you know nothing about what's going on in either camp..... No official offer of a rematch was put on the table. No negotiation happen and Canelo said no.... That facts we do know is that Bivol is a champion at 175lbs....he was not going to drop to 168lbs to rematch Canelo..... And Canelo is NOT a 175lb'er and honestly shouldn't be trying to fight at that weight. He went up the first time to fight an old man Kovalev.....the next time he ran into a young beast Bivol.... Canelo is a natural middleweight. The guys he should have been fighting is the Charlos, Boo Boo, Hurd, etc.... Individuals in the 154/60/68 divisions that have been looking to get in the ring with him. Moving up is cool as he's trying to challenge himself, but it makes him look like a duck because there are goons in his division that he has yet to face......I didn't like that he fought GGG a 3rd time.... GGG is well passed his prime. Why not fight Alimkhanuly, or Boo Boo....he's your mandatory for the WBO I believe......and he's been calling for the fight for 5 years.

It was a humiliation because canelo has already fought at 175 ibs before and ko'ed kovalev whom they said was the best fighter in that division when bivol and beterbiev were already there as champs. By their own logic, canelo lost to a lesser guy. Let's also not forget that canelo took the deal that he thought was the easier deal at that time instead of taking the pbc deal that has jermall charlo and benavidez.
