Canelo out here really reinforcing that “washed up” talk, and anyone who doesn’t free stream this fight if they even choose to watch is a damn fool with their money. Not even as a bounce back/rebuilding confidence does this fight make sense. It’s looking like he will be pulling two out of his 3 opponents up in weight to fight him. I’m expecting Spence to be next win or lose vs Crawford. Also, this seems like Al trying to prevent some of his fighters from jumping at that Middle East money that’s going around right now. Boxing is hella bad right now.

It makes sense if he's not confident to beat Tim.
Might aswell lose to canelo for more money and a built in excuse
Fighters have been waiting their whole damn careers for a shot at Canelo and Charlo is supposed to be ****** enough to say “I’ll pass…” ? Why ?? To defend titles he’s already fully unified against a guy from Australia ?!? Neither Charlo nor Tszyu have enough star power for that fight to make more sense than this one. You guys are talking about Charlo like he’s Mayweather and can pick whomever he wants for some hugely successful show. If I’m Charlo, his mom, his manager, his promoter I’m advising him to take this shot. What means more ? Defending belts you already have against a mid-level guy for Pennies ? Or fighting someone who’s going to make you a FBHOF’er , get you 4 new titles and undisputed in a new division ? I have no doubt this show is going to be super successful and I’m going to go out in a limb and say I LIKE CHARLO’S chances here. I’m by no means saying he should be the favorite but I think this is competitive and think he has a good shot at keeping this close.
This is the same Canelo who failed to drop an older worn out GGG right ?
same one coming off a decision against John Ryder, right ?
I like this fight much better than Tszyu and much better than Canelo vs the inactive 160 Charlo. It’s a 3 fight deal. I think Canelo has proven he will (eventually) do the fights fans want. I’d rather Benavidez now for sure, but at least Benavidez is young so when they do finally fight in the next 12-18 months we won’t be saying David is old / washed. I’m surprisingly hype for the Charlo fight to be honest. I could care less about a f**king Tim Tszyu fight period.Kicksnkronic

This is what's wrong with boxing. Charlo, who has never fought above 154, becomes the person who Canelo CHOOSES to fight? It's, essentially, the wild, wild West. Maybe Inoue will move up and fight Tank. How about Terrence Crawford vs Beterbiev? It doesn't make sense..

Sounds like sour g****s from a whiny baby.... Opportunities don't come often in this life and when offered you have to take them. As far as Canelo, I would rather him fight Benavides, that being said, the Charlo fight is a fight many have been calling for, Canelo offered big brother a shot and big brother said he was fat and out of shape I didn't want it, (so if anyone is a duck it's Jermall who has been offered Canelo multiple times only to turn it down and then say people are ducking him) this sets up a revenge scenario where if Canelo beats little brother I'm assuming Jermall will FINALLY take on Canelo.

Tszyu would have embarrassed Charlo and he knows it.
