Tim is not very good to be honest. Canelo is actually a huge step up in competition. Jermell "ducks" an average at best boxer for one of the more skilled and dangerous boxer makes no sense.

Seriously!! How can anyone ignore Canelo RAN from bivol who was willing to come down and beat him at 168 too, even if they want to ignore Benavides. They want to ignore this dude tried to get a champion to come down 20lbs to fight for the guys belt. But nah..this is about the challenge. Boxing fans are shameless these days.

It's not a duck by Jermell. It's, as Micheal Corleone says, "strictly business." Why not take the money and run? We'll see how honorable the boxing sanctioning bodies (WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO) handle the situation as far as the light middleweight belts go. But I wouldn't hold your breath for them to do anything. We hate this because we’ve now seen this with three middle weight fighters in a row. In the past 12 years, three future champions as the division have spent that time waiting. Sergio Martinez, two years, golovkin 4 years nearly; now Tim waiting two years, likely going on 3. No athlete in any other sport on the planet waits that long for a shot they’ve already earned. Take the money out of the equation which people are using to rationalize this as if somehow that matters, do you honestly think fighters who put their lives on the line fight after fight should continue to be denied their EARNED shot so this ginger fan of clenbuterol can keep rewriting the rules. This is twice now that he’s held up a division for two separate generations of boxers. But somehow that’s ok because Charlo gets a check. He is also fighting a guy who hasn’t fought once in that division, didn’t concede a pound at all, but we are supposed to be cheering this? This is bulllllsshhhh and you know it, any other fighter would be getting destroyed by the boxing public but not ginger, oh of course not ginger. Because there weren’t legitimate threats to him he could’ve actually fought, instead he ran to pbc for easy money. I just don’t get all the Tim Tszyu support. Lol. I’m sure he’s a terrific fighter, but Charlo JUST WON the belt Tim is mandated for in his LAST FIGHT. Castano, the previous champion fought ZERO fighters not named Charlo for his 2 fight reign. Acting like Tszyu has been avoided for the last 3 years is silly. We had a full unification that took two damn good, competitive fights to settle. Sorry Tim.
