Why do people act like Charlo is this invincible all conquering beast, man got done by Harrison and Castano arguably bested him. Hasn't fought for yonks, the man is not all that.

I don’t see why this is such a shock to anyone! Mell has literally been calling out Canelo for MONTHS and talking mad smack about how bad he’d whip him. He spoke, Canelo listened, Canelo said hold my beer. Then again why would Mall fight him? Mall has been MIA for a very long time. He on the GRJ fight plan.

The corrupt sanctioning bodies make up the rules as they go. There really should be some kind of timescale on how long a fighter can keep a belt hostage before they get stripped. Although I'm somewhat hypocritical because I think all fighters should throw their belts in the trash and pay the sanctioning bodies nothing.

i suppose after the big risk he took in fighting ggg for part III i guess bringing a guy up 2 weight classes for a fight is ok, he is undisputed after all and a charlo

newsflash: canelo was insisting on a rehydration clause for Charlo but after 12 hours of explaining he now realises its not needed as his opponent is coming up in weight & not down in weight

                Naw, undisputed vs undisputed trumps
mandatory. They won't strip him. If Tszyu was able to get the Cinnabon fight, he would do the same thing. Charlo is going to put the beats on Tim after he smokes Canelo.

Mark my words, Jermell is going to give him a boxing lesson for about 6 or 7 rounds, gas.him, then put the beats on him.

After Jermall, there's 2 more slots to fill.

Spence COULD be in there depending on whether he gets past Crawford twice (or three times depending if they split victories). I think that fight would sell and it would be entertaining if Spence remains undefeated but in all honesty Canelo is gonna' be a huge favorite because Spence's style is open to get hit and he'd be moving WAAAAAAAAAY up in weight with no real warm-ups. Spence would have everything to gain, but it doesn't prove anything for Canelo by beating him unfortunately.

I'm ok with Charlo because it's supposed to a gimme fight. It's a high-profile, gimme fight but only on the basis of Charlo's inactivity. After this, Canelo's left with several options.

If it were up to me, I'd match Canelo up with Benavidez in the last of the three fight deal and ride off into the sunset. He either shuts the critics up or passes the torch to Benavidez in the violent manner that typically these farewell fights go.

EDIT: Awwww ****...I didn't notice it's JERMELL, not JERMALL.

                      *Sits in stunned disbelief*

Okay, Jermell IS more active...but damn. This just turned into more of a gimme fight. Jermell went to war with Castano. This will not end well.
