    i'm not jealous.

i think the way the olympics/world championship rules are , hurts viewership in america. they don't even televise olympic boxing much anymore.

nationality has nothing to do with it. americans support fighters of different nationalities.

No its not, Strength helps in clinches and pushing your opponent around. Seeing as both Klitschkos like to fight from a distance and use the jab-straight right this doesn't help. The reason they win is because they are in shape, train hard and are focused. There are few HWs out there that are like that now, name 10 top fighter other than the Klitchkos that look as if they train REALLY hard in an effort to be the best.

I can think of Haye, Chambers (recently) and thats it.

Oh and Manny Steward kept pointing out during the Vitali-Lewis fight that even though Lewis was losing he was stronger in the clinches.

That rule would apply in the middleweight division maybe, but not in the heavyweight one. Everybody knows pure skill and hard working won't get you far if you got no power or a sturdy physique.

bull****, nationality has everything to do with it. when do you ever see an american being a fan of a russian or european fighter? americans don't and never will give respect to european/russian fighters. thats a fact.

The reason why they dominate,is because they have stuck with the basics if boxing, the fundimentals!!Working behind the jab, keeping the high guard,(usually),but in the case of the Klitchko's,when ur that tall & posses such a powerfull jab,ur hands don't really need to be held high!!

Even despite the fact that guys like Manny Steward recognise the Klitschkos as the best heavyweights today, the Americans still don't like them or give them any recognition, instead insisting on that they fight lesser opposition. Pathetic!

i seem to remember staples center cheering vitali during/after the lennox fight.

kostya tszyu might not have been a big star in the u.s. but he probably could have been if he was based in the u.s. instead of australia.

There is a number of Americans with Ukrainian and Russian ethnicity. Especially on the eastern seaboard. Thats why Vitali got the cheers.

                    americans didn't like lewis either.

                    lewis wasn't eastern european/russian/ukrainian.

it's their styles. people don't like to see guys with huge size advantage just jab and keep their opponents away.

los angeles is not on the eastern seaboard.

believe me a lot of non-ukrainians/russians were cheering vitali on.

it's because he put on a good show.
