Comments Thread For: Wilder Says 'Short, Fat, T-Rex-Armed' Ruiz Will Be Nonexistent If He Passes On Fight

Wilder is showing how ignorant he is. Ruiz is taller than the average man. Probably fatter too. That doesn't make him short in the general population, but as a heavyweight he could be considered shorter than average. Just as Wilder may not be considered dumb in the boxing community, but in the general population he qualifies as dumb.

Wilder makes a very good point. He has offers to fight almost anyone in the he world but Andy Ruiz does not.
Deontay really doesn’t need this fight.
He is just using it as a stay busy tuneup bout for Anthony Joshua in December. He’s throwing Ruiz a lifeline and he should take it. Also, Andy Ruiz is not worthy of a 50/50 purse split.Last edited by champion4ever; 06-29-2023, 09:14 AM.

Fury beat Wilder by mauling him.
Ruiz can't do that.
I mean, is it that you want a "Body on the Record"? Because that's what would likely happen with Ruiz who can barely move.

Both guys are bigger in their worlds they live in . In the real world though when you look at the value of each fighter and take away both ridiculous negotiation tactics it’s still not a 50/50 fight at all only because Ruiz has not had a steady profile boost, he had a very small limelight when he beat Joshua but that’s all he’s done he’s had no big events at all without Joshua .
Offering 30 % is not going to make the fight either. Team Wilder knows that so they don’t really want the fight either he’s not some big draw that he can just copy Fury he doesn’t even have any title and his PPV events flop but he has made them .
Only way this gets done is the WBC themselves intervene because there’s no actual rules they can’t just make up if you read their WBC policies you know it’s a joke .
Higher ranking guy gets 60 the lower ranking guy gets 40 . If they don’t agree then whoever declines gets kicked out of the elimination bout or both and move on .

60-40 should get a fight. I'm sure Ruiz would prefer 60%, and ordinarily wouldn't take anything less than 50%. But is willing to take 40% to secure fight.
Its called compromiseLast edited by hugh grant; 06-29-2023, 06:06 AM.
