why does AJ want a rematch clause with no belts on the line? He loses to stumble bum, everyone laughs, saudis say no thanks AJ u cant even beat this guy now, just be brave and take away that safety net and make a statement for the wilder fight in the dunes, if it happens that is

Eddie and Josh don't seem too confident. Why do they need a rematch clause to fight Whyte? If they lose there's no wilder fight snyway. If they're just looking for a "gimme" though, well that's different!

He's not really declining though, is he? It sounds like he just wants the fight at the price offered with no rematch clause/options.

Whyte wants it so the winner gets the Wilder fight in Saudi Arabia in December. There is no need for a rematch. If Joshua wins he goes to SA but if he loses he wants to prevent Whyte from getting that opportunity. It is a pretty bad look on Hearn & Joshua. They lack confidence & if that is the case why not take a weaker opponent than Whyte? The problem here is Hearn & AJ not Whyte…
You seeing it the same as I am!

I agree but Eddie Hearn has to get the go ahead from the Saudis for a potential Wilder/Whyte matchup. i am pretty sure they are not into the business of throwing good money after bad.

Yes, I edited my post after I realised that the Saudis almost certainly won't pay for Wilder - Whyte but before I saw your reply. Apologies and thanks.
