First, you never turned down the offer, but now "you're turning down the offer!" AJ should just call up Efe Ajagba! I don't think Arum would block that?

Why do they keep giving this looser fights? He rarely wins. He is constantly begging for fights. He isn’t that good.LAchargers373 likes this.

boxers are so unlikable these days.
not an ounce of charm or endearing quality about them these days.
its why youtubers are outdrawing actual boxers.

Take the fight, Mr. Whyte. Stop worrying about what happens next.champion4ever likes this.

Whyte is even dumber than I thought.
He is really a fringe contender at this point, everybody can beat him, take 2 fight deal with a rematch option, take the money. every other option is worse, Whyte can lose to everybody that can punch.

Whyte's coming to win, and he doesn't want to have to do it twice to move on and fight Wilder.
*That's what we want out of our Heavyweights.
Confidence and a plan for forward progress.
Sign the contract, AJ.

If I was Dillian, I'd want the rematch clause in for AJ, as long as its on fair terms
his reasoning for wanting the rematch clause out is because he thinks if he can beat Joshua he can walk straight into a big fight in Saudi Arabia in Joshua's place in december but that's probably not the case and if it isn't the case, the biggest fight out there for him is probably the rematch.
I get Whyte though, rematches can hold up people's careers. He could beat Joshua and he in a good position to get fights and AJ could string out the process and Whyte loses momentum.
I'm on Dillian's side here though. There should be no rematch clause. AJ isn't a champion. These clauses in these kind of fights need to stop. Fight and the winner moves on.
the reality is neither of them are champions and both lost their big fights recently, so the only difference between them is AJ is a bigger commercial draw and even that's not what it was because he couldn't even sell out the O2 Arena in his last fight, so I think rematch closes clauses this kind of fight where neither fighter has anything on the line needs to stop.
AJ v Whyte a couple of years ago was a stadium fight. Now they're talking about doing it at the o2. That tells you something about both Fighters ability to sell tickets these days, which is nowhere near what it used to be.Last edited by deathofaclown; 06-26-2023, 06:13 PM.

Having a rematch clause vs Joshua is a good business opportunity for Whtye 'I believe he needs to recognize this'.
Whyte vs Joshua II is not a final eliminator bout 'Which will decide who is then going to fight Wilder' etc.
