He might be wary of Spence's power and get on the bike. That's what I want to see him try to do, is box and move to a boring decision, assuming he can avoid getting hit.

Hmm...that doesn't seem to make any sense. If Postol was able to walk Crawford down without throwing any, then the more would Spence who throws a lot of punches.

If Spence’s defense isn’t tight he might get walked down like Kavaliauskas.

Then maybe Spence catches him mid-throw like Kav caught Crawford and Spence caught Porter.

Spence sometimes just seems like he loses focus for a few seconds. And that thing he did with the mouthpiece, that wasn’t the first time. He did it versus DSG, even turned around like a dog trying to bite its tail, all while the round was live. That time, DSG didn’t punch him unlike Ugas did.

Spence has to stay focused vs Crawford. He can’t allow Buf to catch him as bad as he has gotten caught before. Crawford is faster, and punches harder than Porter, DSG, Ugas, Brook.

I think Spence is going to win, but he can’t come at Crawford with that shotty defense and lack of focus he tends to have.
I honestly don't think Crawford punches harder than Prime Brook. I am unsure if he punches harder than Danny Garcia. Crawford is just craftier with his shot selection but Spence has very underrated defense.

If Crawford tries to fight Spence the way he fought Postol, he will get cooked. Crawford is going to have to fight Spence the way he did Benavidez and throw in a little bit of Shawn Porter in the mix. Basically, he is going to have to fight more than Box. Spence has a great jab, applies elite pressure, can cut off the ring, and he is arguably this generation's best inside fighter. Let's not forget that he was able to outbox both Mikey (an elite boxer) and Danny Garcia (an underrated boxer). I keep telling everyone this fight is going to be similar to Hurd vs Lara but more violent and more tactical.

So rather than see the best possible fight between them, you'd rather Crawford fights a boring fight to prove something to anonymous posters on a boxing forum?

                      Here's the thing.

May 2, 2015. A day that will live in infamy.

Casuals listened to Stephen A. Smith, Freddie Roach and Skip Bayless repeatedly tell them that Floyd and Manny would go for a knockout.

REAL boxing fans understood: it wasn't going to happen, because (A) that's not what Floyd hardly ever did at 147 and (B) Manny Pacquiao wasn't going to put himself in harm's way after damn near losing his soul from a Marquez right hand counter.

                      Here we are again.

If you've EVER seen Errol Spence fight, you know he doesn't aggressively go for knockouts. He starts slow, preserves energy, he keeps up activity touching you to get you to engage him, then starting round 6, he turns it up and breaks you down. Every fight is the same except MAYBE Danny Swift. At the same time, you saw what Spence felt he had to do against Mikey, a guy people hyped as "too fast and fundamental" for Spence.

If you've EVER seen Terence Crawford fight (at 147), you know he does the same thing, just not as precise as Spence. But Crawford looks for counter opportunities to get you wobbled so he can go in for the kill. At the same time, you just saw what Crawford felt he had to do against Postol, a guy people hyped as "too big and strong" for Crawford.

                      Summary:
You've got two guys fighting against styles that cause them to fight differently than they normally do. The likely result? A decision with occasional spots that get the crowd up, but unlikely you're going to get some sort of Morales/Barrera 1 or Hagler/Hearns or Ortiz/Berto 1 type of war. Neither guy has done that at 147 against lesser opposition. So why do you expect it now against top level opposition?

I expect this fight to go very similar, if not identical, to something like Jermain Taylor vs. Cory Spinks. With Taylor playing the role of Spence.
