Oh boy, you grasping at straws. Why benavidez want to challenge bivol when he is canelo's mandatory? And twice held a belt that he never lost in the ring, in the same division. My guess is that in do time he will move up and fight whoever is holding the belt at 175. But now is canelo's time, I guess not because ginger chicken out. So he's moving to a more dangerous and less lucrative affair, David Morell jr.Comment

This is a good fight. Time to find out if Morel is the real deal because Benavides is a proven top fighter.
Kudo to Benavides for taking this fight. Morel could be high risk low reward type of fighter, the masses don't know him yet and he is unknown how good he can actually be.Comment

Gotta love all these guys who are like "the fight's not signed yet" even though Benavidez' dad and promoter both have said specifically and repeatedly that it is, and that's been the case for months now. And the "I'm a fan of the sweet science" but also "who has Morrell fought". If you were actually a fan of the sweet science you'd be able to see what he brings to the table. There's a ton of people who claim to be fans of the sweet science but can't articulate in any detail what a fighter does well or what gaps they have in their game.
This one is likely going to be a FOTY candidate, and I expect both the winner and loser to come out looking better. It's a dangerous fight for both guys that's not necessary if you're chasing belts, because they've both earned their title shots and could sit and wait, but they know they're the top guys who aren't named Canelo, and they want to clean out the division. That's how a champion acts in the division. You beat all the top claimants, and when you've demonstrated your dominance, THEN you go in search of new challenges.Comment

Considering we’re probably NEVER going to get Bivol/Beterbiev, Fury/Usyk, or Canelo/Benavidez, this right here is my most anticipated fight as it currently stands. Both guys young, in prime form, and staring straight into danger.
Forget who wins for just a moment and be thankful for the coming war!Comment
