Do people really believe porter didn't train for the crawford fight and his dad threw in the towel to punish porter?

Porter mentions it often on his podcast, don't think he has a reason to lie

He was always on camera promoting the fight. He was deep into his own hype; how long it took Crawford to accept the fight, how Bud was perceived to be ducking him. He really thought he's that good and he didn't need a lot of training.

Porter was also told before the fight that he needed a double hip replacement.

Naw, Porter's pops Kenny is a bs'er, the white flag was thrown to save his son from an embarrassing, highlight KO reel.

Shawn was in excellent and tremendous shape for that fight, saying otherwise takes away from Crawfords win.

Porter obviously trained, otherwise he would not of made the 147 pound limit.

But? At that time in his career he was pretty much semi-retired.

Porter did not even call for a rematch.

Compared that Porter to the version that fought Spence Junior.

The build up to Porter vs Spence Junior was very passionate, and Porter was clearly not a fighter 'Thinking about retirement'.

Spence Junior has beaten better more proven or in form fighter at 147 pounds than Crawford etc.

Gotta give credit to the Porter’s for saying what they said and shedding shade all over
But I really doubt he didn’t train for a fight that would put way up there p4p

Could have been an excuse because unlike the Thurman and Spence loss which close losses were he could tell himself he won, the Crawford fight was a pretty clear lost. Even up until the 10th but the 2 knockdowns put the fight out of reach for Porter to win a decision.

TLDR version, not training was likely an excuse.

Yeah lol.....if Porter came out looking like fat boy Ruiz or had some love handles like Fury, then an argument could have been made about him not training right. But no, Shawn was ripped and ready to go.
