Nobody is saying Floyd wouldn't be competitive vs Sugar/Hearns but to beat that caliber fighter you need more than just defense and ring iq.

I don't buy the Floyd is too small excuse that Big Dunn and Roadblock are trying to push. Those guys were just downright better and above that, victorious under different types of situations being ouboxed/knocked down. Sugar Ray was being soundly outboxed by Hearns, dug deep and stopped him. Knocked down by Kevin Howard and Donny Lalonde, got up and stomped mudholes in those guys. Lalonde was a much bigger guy.
