He could probably have developed a following if he weren't constantly getting in his own way and squandering momentum.

He gets a marquee win, then acts like a diva, runs his mouth saying some of the most asinine stuff ever to come out of a fighter's mouth, and he's got Rolly, Fury, and Berlanga to compete with there, sits around inactive, has an inconsistent performance or two against lower tier competition, then repeats the whole cycle.

If he could just at least stay active against top competition (and ideally shut up, except maybe for the trash talk about what's he's going to do in the fight), he probably could be a PPV draw. But wow, he's amazing at self-sabotage.

A boxer who has beaten the best fighter at 135lb and 140lb just wants to get paid better. That’s all he wants and Top Rank is terrible, yeah that have history of promoting since the age of man but Arum can’t play his games anymore with these young fighters. Pay Lopez, Stevenson, Navarrete, Valdez and the rest of the top rank fighters. Lopez got $1 million against Taylor that’s ridiculous.

He still beat the top dog at 135 and 140. Just got to pay him a bit more, that Spanish guy made Mikey Garcia retire and that was a close fight but he edged it. Kambosos was just the better man that night and Lopez lost but who cares, he bounced back and just beat Taylor. I just want these top rank fighters to get paid better.
