If Spence takes this fight and some how wins it, I'd put him up there with ATGs.

I love you EJ but you got badly stunned imo by Ugas at 147 recently. I love Ugas too but there are many steps from getting stunned by Ugas to being competitive with Canelo.
If we assume Spence beats Bud which is not a foregone conclusion, and then Spence fights Canelo at 168, I pick Canelo by KO even though Spence is my favorite active fighter.
I do think best version of Canelo would be too much for him, but in recent fights Canelo appeared to regressing a bit more than his age, and was gassing even earlier than he used to, a year from now it’d be even worse if he’s indeed going that direction.
At a 164 lb catchweight with Spence still at his peak vs an aging and gassing Canelo would not be a foregone conclusion at all for Canelo. And I’m not even a big fan of spence, i’m just saying it could possibly happen as we’ve seen over and over throughout history.Keysandboxing likes this.

I didn’t say he was on Q street but you gotta protect yourself at all times._Rexy_ likes this.

Yes his style is made to defeat Canelo I agree but that's all meaningles if he can't take a punch at the weight or if he is feather fisted at the weight.Rebelrbg likes this.
