If Spence takes this fight and some how wins it, I'd put him up there with ATGs.

I love you EJ but you got badly stunned imo by Ugas at 147 recently. I love Ugas too but there are many steps from getting stunned by Ugas to being competitive with Canelo.

If we assume Spence beats Bud which is not a foregone conclusion, and then Spence fights Canelo at 168, I pick Canelo by KO even though Spence is my favorite active fighter.
Stunned by Ugas when he wasn’t prepared and was looking for his mouth piece? Naaah

I do think best version of Canelo would be too much for him, but in recent fights Canelo appeared to regressing a bit more than his age, and was gassing even earlier than he used to, a year from now it’d be even worse if he’s indeed going that direction.
At a 164 lb catchweight with Spence still at his peak vs an aging and gassing Canelo would not be a foregone conclusion at all for Canelo. And I’m not even a big fan of spence, i’m just saying it could possibly happen as we’ve seen over and over throughout history.

Not really. Most fighters in every division walk around weight is about 15 to 20 pounds higher than the division weight limit.

What do you mean nah? If Spence is roaming around looking for shlt on the floor against Crawford he will get stopped.

I didn’t say he was on Q street but you gotta protect yourself at all times.

Canelo would never take the fight.

Is that supposed to make Spence look better? What kind of amateur goes hunting for his gumshield in the middle of a championship fight?

Nobody calls their walk around weight “their natural weight class” though.

Yeah but that entirely depends on how Spence takes a punch at 168lbs and how hard he punches at the weight.

Yes his style is made to defeat Canelo I agree but that's all meaningles if he can't take a punch at the weight or if he is feather fisted at the weight.

I hope that we get to find out, I would put my money on Spence for sure.
