His need to push himself is admirable but unnecessary.
But CW belt would be phenomenal achievement. He is ***in natural 154 and started at 140.

He could turn into the next RJJ if he's not careful

      • Jack has always struck me as very slow, not just physically but mentally as well, an easy target for Canelo but he's got the title in a fifth weight class so who can blame him.

Thank you for your insightful comments from candyland. Unfortunately many decisions around the world are made without considering what makes Mr Fausto Geraci happy from the stained cushions of his couch.

            • Why not fight Benaviedez? This fight makes no sense.

Yes. I think he should beat the crap out of Charlo first. Then, Badou Jack fight and retirement.

He could be arguably top 3-4 in history of boxing.

The crazy thing is that any other fighter would be praised for making such a move, in going after another title at a heavier weight division.
But this seems to be like such a charade, in which he's trying to make further boxing history, but by fighting a champion who is almost 40 years old.
Badou Jack has also been through a slew of wars in his boxing career, this appears to be Canelo revisiting the Makabu fight all over again.
The fighter whom Jack took the title from in his last fight, and a fight that never happened, because of all of the back lash that Canelo received for going after another heavier, but underwhelming champion.
Jack represents a name and the path with the least resistance for a title at a higher weight. Jack also is not a natural CW and they more than likely banking on his age and milage. Plus Jack doesn't move a lot and that plays into Canelo well.

I am not praising the move if it happens because that fight would be more a personal accomplishment for Canelo than a fight that I want to see. The only two fights I want to see Canelo at this moment is against Benavides or Bivol.

10 million? Didn't Kovalev get like 12 million for his fight against Canelo? They really did hurry to get Kovalev back in the ring so soon after Yarde fight
