I believe Teofimo is lacking in the math skills department. 7 to 8 figures seems realistic.

Teofimo isn't quitting. Mayweather pulled this stunt first. Lopez is just taking a page out of Floyd's book.

Lopez won handily. 7 figure pay day is in the horizon. Definitely if you give Taylor a rematch in England... None of the other ABC title holders with guarantee a 7 figure payday... But records show T Lopez made 1.5M vs Taylor... Lopez vs Taylor 2 will bring in 2-3M for Lopez...

He should do a PPV and see how much he's really worth then.

Even 8 figures is unrealistic. Spence and Crawford are only getting 10 million guaranteed for their fight and Spence has done decent PPVs before. Even Haney only got 4 million for Loma. Teo hasn't even headlined a PPV yet. If he makes ESPN as much money as he claims, then he should do PPV to back it up.

one good fight after 2 uninspired duds, leaves me wondering what I really saw. Did I see a finely tuned Teo, ready to take on the rest of a very tough division or did I see Teo defeat a fighter who has fallen off a bit more than he has?

Not sure Teo can sustain a winning streak long enough to build his career to the point where he's earning even 8 figure paydays.

Only $1m? That should be considered a good payday for his level. But, it shows the money in boxing has been drying up for the past 10-15 years. I think kids and teens don't care about boxing, and if they're into combat sports they're more likely watch UFC or ONE FC.

It says something that outside of Canelo and AJ, the biggest draw is Jake Paul! Boxing is in a death spiral. They are relying on the aging and even dying off old generation of boxing fans to buy rip off PPVs, and prob about 98% of the younger 30-40 yr old fans illegally stream fights for free. Where is the money coming from? Only Saudi Arabia.

what do you mean "only" $1 million? These guys fight twice a year, don't promote themselves, don't want to always fight the top fighters and somehow they all complain about their pay. To Teo's credit, he wanted the Lomachenko and Taylor fights and these 2 were the best in their divisions, but he's done quite a bit of cherry picking too
