I understand why people hate on ODLH, but the fact is he has done a good job building up Ryan Garcia into a ppv superstar. ODLH is a very smart promoter and good at what he does, give the devil his due.

If the Pacquiao fight were to be available, from a business standpoint it’d be INSANE for Garcia to not take that option. You’re talking 1.5 to 2 mil ppv buys, huge paycheque, when you have a career that lets face it, probably won’t last that long.

What is the issue with ODLH? It’s simple and I’ll speak bluntly: he likes booze and blow, and it’s going to continue to compromise his work. I’ve worked around addicts, I’ve battled through a drinking problem myself, all the signs are there. Some of those twitter responses to Garcia, he was almost definitely drunk or high, or it makes no strategic sense to respond like that. He often shows up on camera all red faced and staring off into space. The list goes on.

He has been through rehab and he clearly doesn’t have this beat, and over the course of a 4 hour ppv event where the party is going hard, you know he’s dipping in hard. I don’t have proof, but every fibre of my being says he was simply too drunk or high to be at that presser, and the death threats were an excuse to save face. It’s called a security team, and nobody is going to shoot you at a presser. Remember that Chuck Lidell talk show appearance? That’s the types of bullet GBP probably had to dodge by getting ODLH out of the building.

Oscar has done a tremendous job with Ryan.. Ryan should have simply listened and he would have not taken an L, but he decided to listen to a bozo Lupe Valencia that has never been in the ring, that has never built any type of star.. so take responsibility for that, stop attempting to blame Oscar!! Hey there Oscar. Go back to doing your drugs. It's sad watching you grasp at relevance trying to relive a small vestige of your long past heyday. GBP is like a vulture feeding on the putrefying flesh of the sport of boxing, which is dying slowly due to people like you, and the corruption rampant in the "sport." A few key points-
1) Ryan, you were never going to beat Tank at that stage of your development. You lost when u signed the contract. Your defense had too many holes in it, and your mental health is fragile. You simply weren't ready, and were trying to move too fast.
2) Yes, Oscar, Bernard, and Joe should have known better. You're just a baby. Your breath probably still smells like breast milk
3) when u get your ass kicked inside the ring, don't blame ppl outside the ring. It's not manly. Wear that loss with pride, because u learned something valuable. I'm actually feeling a sneaking sort of admiration for Ryan. He doesn't want to participate in the humiliation & damaging of an ATG now a decade past his best & he doesn't stand carp from ODLH. That is a brave stand for a young man of 22. Probably not the most sensible stand from a career perspective but, for all I've criticised his technical shortcomings, I take my hat off to the young man. I honestly do.
