Why is Fury considered an all time great heavyweight?

Is it because he defeated Klitschko? If that’s the reason why isn’t AJ consider an all time great for beating Klitschko along with Corrie Sanders and Lamon Brewster. Chris Bryd defeated Vitali Klitschko why isn’t he considered great ?

I don't consider him an ATG. Beating the brakes off Wilder a couple of times or a faded Klitschko isn't ATG status. Honestly, there isn't enough talent at HW to make him an ATG IMO. HOF worthy if he can beat Usyk for undisputed and then AJ.

Well, fury isn't considered to p ten. But people give Tyson a good chance h2h with anyone in history and today's heavyweights, thinking he'd best josh o r usyk?
So Tyson maybe overrated in that sense, he is a coulda, or woulda type fighter right now. But being woulda or coulda fighter isn't bad, but it's better to have wins in the bag. So once he beats usy k and Josh and Zhang he will be ATG top ten.

          He won't fight them.

Because standards are low. His resume for a 34 fight 15 year career is paper thin. The supposed king of a division where hes fought two guys in the current top 10. and maybe four in the top 20....

He's got a ok...so so resume. But his best wins are great, just not enough. And on basis of his great wins, people conclude he'd fare well against anyone. You can assess and gauge things that way but can be a danger in overateing his h2 ability that way. Like Edwin Valero barely did much, but some think h2h he's some monster who'd beat Pac

When history looks at him the asterisks against Wilder and Klitschko will drop away and they'll both be very good wins against long reigning champions.

The body of work below that will remain very questionable.

And the claims, boasts etc won't be worth anything. He might claim he beats everyone but history won't accept that. He'll need to actually beat them.

This HW era is too weak for anyone to be considered an ATG, Wilder is horrible with power, Joshua is basically Frank Bruno in this weak era, Usyk beating Frank Bruno does not make him an ATG HW. That being said, with Fury's size and awkwardness he'll give any HW problems, not saying he'll win.

i dont think theres enough of a body of work there to be an ATG, he probably is ability wise but resume is thin
