GGG spun his Canelo bouts into millions, and Mikey spun his Spence bout into millions. It always appeared to me like Mikey boxed because he was good at it, but not someone who could endure the brutality that comes with it. As soon as Mikey made great money, he lost motivation and exited stage left. GGG seemed to tax DAZN for all of the headaches that the sport of boxing ever caused him. I think GGG's biggest sin was never unifying with Andrade. That could've helped propel Andrade, and maybe it would've helped Matchroom entice Jermall to cross the street. It's dumb to expect altruism from boxers.

Indeed, though it was right for him to fight TR about his contract, looking back at it Mikey indeed looked like a gifter boxer who was not actually in love with boxing.
