Every language has an area that speaks "standard" or the "ideal" way. For example, I speak Italian, and the "standard" Italian (the one that is learned in schools) is from Tuscany.

I've talked to several Spanish speakers, and they say from the people they've met, that Spaniards speak the most proper form. They said those in Latin America tend to speak more in slang and shorten words.

That's garbage, it varies from person to person, there is no one country which speaks better, just like any language which is spoken in more than one country.
You can meet a Puerto Rican who speaks better Spanish than a Spaniard or a Chilean who speaks worse than a Bolivian, it varies from person to person and depends also on their education.

I agree with the last part ^

Hispanics from Latin America have their own words they use in their Spanish, the Spanish are the ones who speak way proper spanish.

Spaniards have lots of slang words as well so that destroys that point.

While varies from person to person but as a whole nation I'll take a wild guess and say Spainiards speak better Spanish probably because the language originated there.

As I understand it, different nationalities spanish can vary greatly.Cultural differences I guess, like when Margarito was being interviewed he kept beginning his replies to questions by saying bueno and I asked my gf's dad who is Dominican why he starts off his sentences by saying good and he just explained it away by saying that he is Mexican.....so idk

Obviously, all languages have slang. But the people I've met say that, for example, that in Spain people will generally say "vaya con Dios", but almost everyone she knows will say "baya con Dios" (she's from PR).

                Just little things like that.

Nah, that's not Mexcian, almost everyone says that "Bueno..." at the start of the sentance is like "Well...." in English.

It's the same pronounciation except "Vaya" is the correct spelling.
