Tank can't even clearly beat pitbull cruz and you think he can spark haney? Haney will have no problem disposing davis.

Listen, if he was as confident, he would be at 140 already.

Get real, he doesn`t beat anybody top 10 at 140.

Secondly, fans will be pushing for the rematch, and although Loma will be a year older, Haney is really struggling to make weight at 135 and the weight cut may be too much for him.

Third, he gets found out at 140, which is a weak division. But he doesn't have the strength, power or chin to hang at 140 and certainly not at 147. He couldn't put a dent in little old Loma and hasn't had a knockout in 4 years at lightweight.

He'll soon get found out and he's lucky he's avoided Gervonta thus far.
Solid dude. This is a really good point. Best Ive read since the fight.

Haney won, but he didnt deliver the star making performance many had hoped he would.

If this was a test, he got a C- at best. He passed, but he was very close to failing.

I thought Haney fought a good fight against a extremely skilled fighter that was inspired. Haney has never come up against a fighter that had quicker hands than him, quicker feet and better stamina and IQ. He will learn from this. Name me one fighter that didn’t have a hard time against Loma even when he was injured?

I agree he has time to grow and learn from the fight but I understand that people look at it a little badly since Loma's getting older and isn't as mobile as he used to be. I think a 32-33 year old Loma would've stopped him.

OP has a really good point here.

Fans will want a rematch, will Haney keep on struggling to make 135? Will he fight bigger guys at 140, against whom he will have no reach advantage?

TS, what respect are you talking about? No matter what he does, fans are going to hate on him and find every excuses to hate.

I think Haney will move to 140 and vacate those belts. I don't see him staying at 135 for anything other than a Tank or Stevenson fight. But I don't believe that happens. I have a feeling that Lomachenko will get a fight with Shakur Stevenson for his next fight.

I don’t think power works that way though.

Maybe there is the very rare exception in history, but fighters don’t usually gain power as they move up. Haney is currently fighting smaller fighters in the ring, and they’re taking his punches quite well. Too well. I was especially surprised with him not being able to stop Gamboa and Linares.

As he fights bigger fighters, or fighters his own size, the power will appear diminished. They’ll take his power better.

Boxing doesn`t work like this man. If it worked like that, Haney would be a welterweight right now.

Why do you think that the most fighters struggle to make as low weight as possible?

They want to be in the lowest division for their body type. They have reason why.

Moving up in weight obviously doesn`t help their power, the opposite, they face many difficulties while fighting guys of their size.
