Haney gotta retire if he loses to Loma

    It's easy to explain why.

    - Much bigger, taller and longer.
    - Has all of belts and will be a bum without any belts.
    - Much younger.
    - Too ugly to become Ryan Garcia.

Loma hasn't anything to lose but Haney has ***in everything.

    War Loma!

Yeah. I agree. I'm watching the grand arrival right now, and everyone there right now is rooting for Loma. It's going to be rough being the hometown fighter and having nearly everyone root for the away guy.

If Loma beats Haney, it's going to speak volumes. And because Haney and his father have talked so much **** leading up to this fight, for four years now, if Devin loses, the backlash is going to be huge.

Haney is kind of like Lopez. Since Lopez suffered al loss, he hasn't been the same guy, questioning whether he still has it. It's been mentally damaging, and that's how I see a lot of these young fighters who grew up in the Mayweather era, where being undefeated is everything.

Like you said too, Haney is not a social media sensation like Garica. His power are the belts. People are not dying to come and see him fight, and boxers avoid him because of his "spoiler" fighting style.

Also, Devin is risk adverse, so he's going to swerve the bigger, more dangerous fights, especially when he moves up. Regis is calling him out already, and we know that he's not going to want to have anything to do with Prograis.

Devin has all the Shakur and Tank fans against him too, so a loss would definitely be devastating.

So if Loma wins he gets no credit what so ever.

And you wonder why fighters cherry pick and protect their 0 with new fans spouting nonsense like this.

Yeah, not happening. If he does lose, he could probably make a good case that he was weak from being weight drained. At some point he's not going to be able to make 135 and fight the next day, maybe that time has already come.

It's certainly a plausible story anyway.

If he loses, move up to 140lbs. Plenty of quality match ups to make.

I honestly think he clears out 140lbs. Even with Prograis. He will out box him too.

Even racist black fans don't like Haney. They criticize him asf. Tank and Shakur fans don't like him as well.

It would be pretty devastating. What a dramatic ending.

This is nonsense. He's still a kid.

Plenty left to do if he takes an L against a HOFer

That's ******. Why retire after losing to a possible ATG? He's got a long and competitive career, with likely another championship reign at 140. FFS, Rolly is a "world champion" now. Dunno if he can make it at 147, but Haney will certainly be in the running at 140 regardless of outcome of this fight.

I was about to say exactly the same thing but then saw your comment. That makes no sense. If he loses, he will have all the motivation in the world to get back to the drawing board and learn more. If anything, I think Haney needs this loss. Floyd really got into casual's heads about that 0 nonsense
