One of the worst stoppages and obvious displays of corruption in the sport I've ever seen, and I've been watching boxing for 50 years. Nothing Rolly threw in that last flurry landed. Not a single punch. The knockdown was a push-down. Notice Jim Grey never even tried to flag down Tony Weekes to ask him his thought process that led to the stoppage. Disgusting and disgraceful. Al is becoming just as blatantly corrupt as Bob and Eddie. He's no longer even hiding it. If you thought the Granados-Easter and Fortuna-Easter decisions were bad, this stoppage is considerably worse because it was so out in the open for everyone to see in real time.
So the lack of accountability continues, they close ranks. Not Gray's fault they are ****ebags.Comment

This was so bad, so obvious and such an insult that this ref will be remembered for this fight.
I know boxing is corrupt but, this was a straight up insult. I guess nowadays refs are cashing out just like hopeless fighters.Comment

That was a really bad stoppage.
Now we don’t know if Romero would have gotten a legit stoppage in the late rounds, or if Barroso was going to go all 12 and win by decision as he was winning. Or if Romero would have gotten a late stoppage. Tony Weeks took that away from these fighters and from the fans.
Such a shame, it didn’t even look like a punch landed in the sequence that led to the stoppage.Comment

Saw highlights.
It’s a shame cuz it looked like a pretty fun and entertaining bout with decent action. Looked like Romero was coming on and had a few decent rds, but Romero just isn’t a durable boxer and gets caught clean way too much. His reign isn’t gonna last.Comment

As usual they are spewing their agenda against them.
More reputable posters are saying it was bad so I will take their word.

W#hat you said make's a lot of sense, and is a logical course of action for Weeks to consider.Comment
