They are great, but they just do not have the opposition to be ATGs.

i wouldnt say far better that goes back to what i said earlier about vitaly having those injuries and being away from the sport. i know that is not wlads fault but i honestly believe vitaly is the tougher fighter who would fair better in other eras of hw boxing because of his chin and ability to handle a man who can stand up to his punches

You do what you can is how I look at it. Your resume is who you are at the end of the day. I think Wladimir is well on his way to greatness although I believe Vitali could have been greater. But when it's all said and done and we read the names on their resume, I don't think All-Time Great is what you'll think. A dominant champ in a weak division = great.

Well like I said, it's not Wladimir's fault Vitali was away. Too bad. He has the weaker resume, end of story.

Well, you used Calzaghe as an e.g.

Calzaghe didn't unify the division until near the end of his career. Wlad has done it and beaten every HW challenger out there and still has a long time to defend his belts.

Wlad has done everything he can at this stage of his career and still has plenty of time to defend his title even more.

There is no other great HW's around now for Wlad to beat, but you don't need to beat a great to be a great.

Yeah but you need to beat one before you can even be considered for being an all-time great.

I;m not an *******. Casual fans always want to see action, they can't stand a boxing match, they need to see two fighters hanging their chins out at all times. Even if it's 9 out 10 fights that were action packed and 1 was a boxing match they still **** on it. There are a lot of casual fans in this forum who don't really appreciate the sport of boxing.

MMA is available to these kind of fans. You get 3 rounds 5 minutes each but usually their already ***ed up in the first round.
