I bet Frank Bruno wished he was born 10-15 years later, he would probably be labeled an ATG too.

Sure, Joe Calzaghe comes to mind. Terry Norris as well.

That said, ATG's? GTFOH. There are plenty of long-time champs who may be great but aren't all-time greats. The term gets thrown around so loosely. You beat Chris Arreola and Sam Peter and BOOM! ATG.
So what about eras: If you have the ability of an ATG as far as talent but aren't able to get tested because of your era...how does that work out?

And what if, despite eras, we ask if a past "ATG" could beat this current fighter...would that be able to come into play...or no because it's different eras that cannot be compared?

Larry, the Klitschko brothers are not Americans so they will never get the credit they deserve. Real fans know what they're about, they respect them. The Klitschko's can hang with any era of HW boxing. Let the haters hate, they expect to see fighters in the sport of "boxing", all the time in every fight. When they see a smart fighter who actually "boxes" their opponent they call them boring, *****, blah blah they don't know what they're talking about.

Well of course it should be seen as good; he went undefeated. Like the Klitschko brothers, one of the attributes I like about Marciano is that he came in tip-top shape for every fight and despite who his opponent was, bad average or good...he never took them lightly. I can't say the same for every fighter out there.

When I break it down in another way, say, putting him as an under 200 pounder and comparing him with his competition who were of similar size...and not compare him with other HWs that were bigger or fought bigger competition and are listed as "HW"...the under 200 pound resume looks pretty good despite where his opponents were at in their careers.

i love how the *******s on this forum act like only they know what real boxing is and say that because you dont like the style the fighter they like fights with they are mindless idiots who only think boxing is standing in front of each other. if you had read my posts you would know that i respect wlad as the 2nd best hw in the divison right now but that doesnt change the fact that he fights scared and my opinion is that he would be kod by the top guys from the past and also his brother.

What difference does it make? You are in one division a long time and rule, nothing's changed.

That's true. But Wladimir has also beaten far better opposition.
